Capital! Steampunk is heading over the hill to Featherston again, this time to enjoy a day with some miniature steam trains. Two of them, no less, with rides. Also market stalls, food and drink. And now … tea duelling!
The Cross Creek festival happens every year and we’re hoping to add a considerable degree of steampunkery to next year’s event, but we can still have fun at this year’s one. Dress up, come along and be splendid. Featherston also has the Fell Locomotive Museum and a bunch of second-hand and antique shops near the miniature railway; you never know what you might find.
The event runs from 10am until 3pm in Clifford Square, just off the main road (and almost opposite the library). Aim to get there about 11.30. We expect to run two or three tea duelling sessions during the day; volunteers welcome.
